

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sterling Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday prior to service time.

Mrs. Bryan was born on August 6, 1926 in Pineville, LA and grew up in Safety Harbor, Florida. She was a graduate of Troy State Teachers College (now Troy University) and later taught at Minnie T. Heard, Rehobeth and Wilson Street Elementary Schools. Mrs. Bryan was a member of Greystone United Methodist Church (formerly Lafayette United Methodist Church) where she belonged to the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was a southern lady, wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Bryan is predeceased by her mother and father, her husband, Ernest Bryan and a brother, Jim Draper.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Bryan and his wife, Pam of Dothan, AL, Scott Bryan of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Chris Bryan and his wife, Branda of Abbeville, AL, Beth Caylor and her husband, Shaun of Dothan, AL, Leanne Bryan of Atlanta, GA; three great-grandchildren, Jon Christopher Bryan and Will Bryan of Abbeville, AL and Ellason Caylor of Dothan, AL; two sisters, Roberta Condo of Murphy, NC and Ann Rhea of Homosassa Springs, Fl; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Amelia Bullard of Dothan, AL.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Bryan, Shaun Caylor, Paul Thomley, Denny McKinnon, Chuck Jones and Dr. Milton Lennicx.
Honorary pallbearers will be C. L. McMoy and Bob Vick.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of Mrs. Bryan.
