Gail H. Davis

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery on South Park Avenue. Rev. Thaxton Whiddon, uncle of Mrs. Davis and Dr. Brent Parker will officiate. Larry Whiddon, her cousin, will read poetry. The family will greet friends following the service.

Mrs. Davis was born in Houston County April 21, 1937. She graduated from Dothan High School in 1955. She was employed for several years by Thomas Insurance Agency. Mrs. Davis was a lifetime member of Selma Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Tessa Hyatt.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jerry A. Davis of Dothan; two sons, Kyle Davis and Kevin Davis of Dothan; one grandson, Caleb Davis of Dothan; one sister, Sylvia (Mac) Carpenter; one brother-in-law, Jack (Betty) Davis, one sister-in-law, Linda Middleton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
