Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until service time on Friday.

Mrs. Crutchfield was born March 21, 1928 in Holmes County, Florida and lived the early years of her life there. She has been a resident of Dothan since 1950. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and working puzzles. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the South Park Congregation Kingdom Hall.

Survivors include a son, John Crutchfield of Midland City; a daughter and son-in-law, Sybil and James Shaw of Dothan; three grandchildren, Lorie Holloway, Duane Douglas and Renea Pruitt; five great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Savell of Gant; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Active pallbearers will be James Shaw, Buster Holloway, Tony Douglas, Ted Pruitt, Wade Shelley and Roger Moss.
