

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Flat Creek Church Cemetery (near Colquitt) with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 on Tuesday prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wiregrass Food Bank “Brown Bag Program”, 382 Twitchell Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303.
Mrs. Driggers was born October 10, 1934 in Florida and lived the early years of her life in Lakeland. She was a homemaker and a resident of Cowarts for over 30 years. Mrs. Driggers volunteered at the Wiregrass Food Bank, something dear to her heart, for many years.
Mrs. Driggers is predeceased by her parents, Robert Lee and Fannie Pearl Bush Sheffield, her husband, Murray Avery Driggers, a daughter-in-law, Gina Driggers and a sister, Juanette Guimond.
Survivors include three children, Elaine Stanford (Dewayne) of Dothan, Robert Scott Driggers of Ashford and Carmen Martin (Ray) of Dothan; three grandchildren, Jessica Walker (Steven), Hannah Martin and Quentin Chavis; four brothers, Herbert Sheffield, Kidder Sheffield (Elizabeth), Lonnie Sheffield (Bobbie) and Dale Sheffield; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of The Terrace at Grove Park for their loving care of Mrs. Driggers.
