Kenneth T. Downs

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with Pastor Donnie Lynn officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the memorial services.

Mr. Downs was born September 2, 1958 in Selma, Alabama and lived most of all of his life in the Wiregrass area. He was employed with Purdue Farms for 23 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Downs loved the mountains, hunting and fishing. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Heddy Downs of Headland; two children, Tabitha Blackburn of Skipperville and Clayton Downs of Ashford; six step-children, Bacaris Brannon, Quintoria Murphy, Jaquarius Davis, Brandon Carter, Chastity Rhodes and Michelle Hatcher; two brothers and three sisters, Frankie Downs of Ashford, Vivian Lynn of Selma, Wayne Downs of Selma, Melba Morris of Taylor and Annette Threadgill of Selma; two grandchildren, SeBasten Lee and Savannah Downs.
