
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with Kandi Tatum officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, as Bill loved helping others, especially children.
Bill was born Nov. 18, 1964 in Germany and moved to Auburn at an early age. He attended Auburn University and later was employed with Pawn Central in Opelika for several years. He moved to Dothan ten years ago and was co-owner of Pawn City of Dothan for the past ten years. Bill met many people during his working career and was a friend to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, always putting others before himself. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Tatum of Dothan; two children, Amanda LaGoy (Samuel) of Bangor, ME, Timothy “TK” Tatum of Dothan; two grandchildren, Kaigen and Treylyn of ME; his mother, Judy Tatum of Auburn, his father, Haygood Tatum of Talladega; a sister, Susan Pearson (Mark) of Ozark, a brother, Tommy Tatum (Kandi) of Auburn, extended family members, Herman Wilheim Schuelper, Torsten Schuelper (Saundra) and Uwe Schuelper, all of Stuttgart, Germany.
