

Born on February 22, 1931, Amy was the cherished daughter of the late William Asa Skinner and Myrtle Gilchrist. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Lester Nethery, with whom she shared many devoted years of marriage.
Amy was a woman of deep faith and unwavering love for her family. A faithful member of First Nazarene of Douglasville, she treasured her relationship with the Lord and her church community. Her faith guided her life and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She dedicated many years of service as the office manager for McKinney Drilling Co, where she was respected for her strong work ethic, integrity, and kindness.
Amy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, birdwatching, and, most of all, spending precious time with her family. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Doretta (Michael) Richards; her grandson, Kristopher Michael Richards; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Hazelie Rain Richards, Penelope Sky Richards, and Magnolia Bleu Richards. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on through them.
Funeral services will be held on February 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on the same day.
Mrs. Nethery will be laid to rest at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
