Joyce Denton, age 79, of Douglasville, passed away September 26, 2023. She is survived by her children, Jeff Denton, Nathan Denton and Stacey Harrison and her grandchildren, Hannah Powell, Chandler Denton and Logan Denton. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James.
Joyce’s family was the most important blessing in her life. She loved spending time and cooking elaborate meals for them. She was a member of her local church for years, and held strong to her faith. Joyce enjoyed going to the beach and wouldn’t pass on the opportunity to stop at the casino. In her free time, she would read, listen to Elvis and watch her shows, especially “Golden Girls”, “The Jeffersons”, “Jerry Springer” and any Lifetime movie. Joyce was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 29, 2023 starting at 11 am. A chapel service will be held in the Whitley-Garner Chapel starting at 2 pm followed by a graveside service taking place in Rosehaven Cemetery.
