Carol Ann Cuendet, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021. She was born October 17, 1950 in Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station, San Juan, Puerto Rico. While known to most as “Miss Carol”, to her family she was “Grana” or “Grandma Carol”. Her family was the center of her life. Carol retired from the Georgia Department of Public Safety with 36 years as an Administrative Assistant. She always enjoyed a good challenge working in many different areas while employed at headquarters. Carol was outspoken, bubbly, and did not mind showing her “German side”. She loved Mexican food, was modest, and a good-hearted person who would give you the shirt off her back. Even though she was known to be clumsy, she was always dancing and singing. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping and visiting State Parks, where she loved gazing at the stars and the night sky. She was fascinated with angels and swam for the Neptune Swim Team.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine (O’Brian) Barth.
Those left to cherish her memory are her former husband, Lou Cuendet; her father, William Barth; two sons, Michael (Jennifer) Cuendet and Brian (Carli) Cuendet; daughter, Susan Cuendet (fiancé, Julian Betancourt); sister, Sandy (Brad) Doucette; and seven grandchildren, Jackson, Maggie, Austin, Mason, Abigail, Noah and Cali.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Mike Bovington officiating.
While guests are welcome, due to Covid-19 protocols and limited seating in the Chapel, the funeral service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/RosehavenMemorial
