Mr. Cecil R. Davis, age 87, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. He was born February 22, 1929 in East Point, Georgia. He was a Veteran, having served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Mr. Davis retired from the City of Atlanta Police Department. Reggie was a Mason at Battle Hill Lodge #523 and served as a Tyler for 10 years. He was a ham radio operator and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs. Reggie loved his family and spending time with them.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Hollums Davis; and a sister, Hazel Roberts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy S. Davis; son, Steve Davis and wife Tammy; daughter, Karen Dobbins and husband Doug, and Terri Mallicoat; brother, Charles Davis; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 5 until 8 o’clock pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 2 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Beaver and Reverend Demkowski officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
