Charles was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 12, 1967, the son of Willie Diane Hardin and the late David McClention. He drove as a truck driver for many years but his last job was at the First Fleet in Villa Rica, Georgia. Charles could build anything. He was very handy with his hands and spent lots of time woodworking. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan and also loved baseball. Charles and his mom didn’t miss many wrestling matches. Charles also enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. His favorite color was maroon and he had a sweet tooth for Reece’s, Smarties, apple pie and grapes. Charles was a family man, loved his grandbabies, kindhearted, caring, stubborn and sometimes a little grumpy.
He is survived by his mom, Willie Diane Hardin, known as “Nanny”, son and daughter-in-law, David and Anais McClention, daughter, Ashlee McClention and son-in-law, Christian Gamble, daughter, Kimberly McClention and son-in-law, Evan Carespodi; grandsons, Cason Spradlin, Tyler Carespodi and a granddaughter on the way.
