Claudia Mae Swift, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Sunday June 18, 2023. She was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on July 22, 1937. A devout Christian, she loved the Lord most of all. She was an avid reader, enjoying the Bible and Danielle Steele books. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, and watching westerns. She will be incredibly missed by those that loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses S. Swift, Sr.; children, Ulysses S. Swift, Jr., Rhonda U. Swift, and Jacqueline R. Swift; as well as several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children: Randall L. Swift (Linda), Waymon “Terry” Swift, Brenda F. Swift, Janet I. Swift, Loraine Swift (William), Lynette M. Heard, and Tracy Swift (James Marshall); as well as a host of grand children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other family.
The family will hold a memorial service on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Reid’s Golden Gate Funeral Home, 5665 North Teutonia Ave Milwaukee, WI 53209. Pastor Jimmy Burks will preside over the service.
