

Mr. D. W. “Juno” Beavers, Jr., age 64, of Douglasville, GA passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. He was born February 13, 1951 in Columbus, GA. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer and dove and was the president and founder of the almost famous “Possum Squat Hunting Club”. Juno retired from Atlanta West Carpets after 25 years and attended Crossroads Church of Douglasville.
Mr. Beavers is preceded in death by his parents, D. W. Beavers, Sr. and Carrie Winters as well as his brother Charles Terry.
He is survived by his wife Pam Beavers; son Travis Beavers; daughter Jessica and husband Mike Ritch; brothers Mike and wife Emily Beavers and Eddie Beavers; sisters Jean and husband Ray Evans, Cherlyn Jordan, Diane and husband Billy Goodson; granddaughter Olivia Ritch as well as nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 6 o’clock pm until 7 o’clock pm. A memorial service will follow directly at 7 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Jeff Hutchison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (ACS), 1825 Barrett Lakes Boulevard, Suite 280, Kennesaw, GA 30144, www.cancer.org. The family also would like to request that no suits, ties or dresses be worn. They would prefer jeans and camouflage.
