David was born in Marietta, Georgia on July 24, 1954, the son of the late Oliver Franklin Wigley and the late Mary Kathryn Cook Wigley. He started working at age 10 delivering newspapers. David was employed with Kroger for thirty-five years where he worked as a butcher in the meat department. He had an interest in restoring cars, cooking and baking. Some of his specialties include chili, fudge and biscuits. David especially enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids because he was such a devoted father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Josh Wigley, Tamara Stephens, Davin Wigley, Nicole Wigley and Jeff Wigley; brother, Steve Wigley, sister, Terri Biggers, thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dwayne Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Rosehaven Cemetery.
