Mrs. Deborah Elaine Kirkland, age 51, of Douglasville, GA passed away Monday, March 23, 2015. She was born May 8, 1963 in Marietta, GA. Debbie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, but especially her grandchildren. She liked to cook and make her house seem like home to all who came to visit as well as helping anyone in any way she could.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Iva Mae (Pat) Jackson.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life, John Kirkland; son and daughter-in-law John and Brittany Kirkland; daughter and son-in-law Dominique and Darrel Dean; sister Donna Wolfe; grandchildren David Dean, Lindsey Dean, Peyton Kirkland and Lucas Kirkland; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as many other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 and Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Cowan Mill Church in Winston, GA at 11:00 AM. Pastors Tom Kaplan and Joshua Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
