Emogene Nunis, age 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born April 27, 1931 in Asheville, North Carolina. Emogene was a 1948 graduate of Douglas County High School. She wed Ralph Nunis on September 23, 1949. A devoted wife and loving mother of two sons, her family was the center of her world. Her professional life included banking and working with her husband as a licensed insurance agent. She was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 53 years, Ralph T. Nunis, Sr.; her parents, Carrie Clark and Benjamin DeBruhl; siblings, Ruth Fargason, Clark DeBruhl and Nancy Wright.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Ralph Nunis, Jr. and Allen Nunis; sister, Sharon Chapman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Rosehaven Memorial Park.
