Jacque was born in Wadesboro, NC on January 15, 1946 to Jack and Grace Shaver. She graduated from Wadesboro High School and attended Wingate University. Jacque was married to Charles (Chuck) Hamill in 1996. Jacque was an avid reader and dearly loved her pets, including her dog Einstein and her three cats. She retired from Comer Distributing of Rock Hill, SC in 2015.
Jacque was preceded in death by her mother, Grace; her father, Jack; and her husband, Chuck. Jacque is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Jeff Helms; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Helms; and grandson, Duncan Helms, of Douglasville, GA; and by her friends, Phyllis Fergusen and Barbara Dobbs of Charlotte, NC, Robert Floyd of Rock Hill, SC, and Nancy Sawyer of Austin, Texas.
A celebration of Jacque’s life for family and friends will be held in Charlotte, NC in June. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the York County Humane Society, 8177 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
