

James Lee Steinke, 75 of Millington, TN, formally of Douglasville, GA passed away on November 20, 2019. Mr. Steinke was born on December 1, 1943 to the late Leonard and late Edith Steinke in Celina, OH.
James was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed fishing and boating, and he would never miss a NASCAR race and would pull for his favorite driver #48 Jimmie Johnson. James was the owner of J and J Welding for 31 years where he was known for his exceptional welding skills and talent. He worked hard in his business with his late wife, Judy. James was a proud American and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion #145 in Douglasville, GA and a member of VFW Post #7175 in Millington, TN.
James was proceeded in death by his parents, Leonard and Edith Steinke; wife, Judy Steinke; great- granddaughter, Lindsey White; and brother, Bill Steinke.
Mr. Steinke is survived by his daughters, Paula Musgrove of Villa Rica, GA, Sharon White of Washington State; son, Bryon and Leslie Steinke of Douglasville, GA; brothers, Dan Steinke, and Jerry and Becky Steinke; sister, Diane and Hans Eickenburg; 8 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
James’ funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Chapel. Mr. Steinke’s family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
