Janet Harris Sanders

Janet Harris Sanders, age 81, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at home with her family in Villa Rica, Ga. Janet Sanders was born in Thomasville, Ga on April 14, 1933, the second daughter of the late James and Blanche Harris, of Thomasville, Ga. She was the widow of the late Wayne Sanders, of Lynchburg,VA, sharing in 49 yrs of marriage before his passing in 2008. Janet was employed with the Social Security Administration for the majority of her 38 year career. Janet and Wayne Sanders raised their family in Marietta, GA and were avid members of the Marietta Lions Club, Antique Automobile Club and The Boy Scouts of America. Janet dedicated herself to the happiness and well being of her family. She can always be remembered for her beautiful smile and willingness to help.

Survivors include her 2 sons; Jim Sanders, his wife, Leah Sanders and son, Jamie Sanders and Tommy Sanders, his wife, Lisa Sanders, and their 3 children, Dakota Sanders, Molly Sanders, and Emily Sanders. Janet is also survived by her niece, Lynn Stowers and her family and her nephew, Richard Ramsey Jr. and his family.

A brief graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1 pm at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Field of Honor Section, in Marietta, Ga.

A visitation time will be held with the family at Douglasville Church of Christ in Douglasville, GA on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 4 until 7 pm.
