Jimmy Leon George, age 75, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 25, 1946, the son of the late Sanford George and the late Nellie Payton George. He was a home improvement contractor.
Jimmy loved watching Westerns—all day, every day. He was an avid collector of antique tools and such. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by his sister, Becky Fagan and his brothers, Robert “Bobby” George and William George.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandee Mann George; his sons: Raney Lee (Sara) George, and Skyler Raney George; a brother, Ronnie (Sandy) George; two sisters, Jackie (Jerry) Portwood, and Linda George; grandchildren: Nicholas Rowan, Destiny Rowan, Jesse George, Landon Cantrell, Kaylee Nelson and Ellie Rae Coney; goddaughter, Breanna Nelson; mother-in-law, Ann Nesbitt; brother-in-law, Shannon (Erin Crumpton; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Jimmy was cremated and no service is planned at this time.
