

She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 12, 1935 the daughter of the late Robert Anglin and the late Janie Sibley Anglin. Jo Ann had a very outgoing personality and loved life. To know her was to love her. Jo Ann was the face in the Douglas County Courthouse with the contagious smile. She worked at the front desk at the Douglas County Courthouse for a number of years. Jo Ann enjoyed so many different things. But above all, spending time with her family and friends meant the most.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Del King, Pam Fortner and Kenny Hertz; sister and brother-in-law, Mary A. and Perry Penton; grandchildren: Ashley Lilly (Chris), Allie Fortner, Cole Fortner (Jennifer), Gavin King, Chloe King; great grandchildren: Jayden Whitehead, Pierson Fortner and James Fortner.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with grandson, Cole Fortner officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Douglasville City Cemetery.
