Mr. John “Eric” Gilmer, age 33, of Bremen, GA passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Emory Hospital. Eric was born in Douglasville, GA to James “Jim” Gilmer and Anita L. McLain. Eric loved computer design and graphics arts. Eric wrote and had published several poems. Eric was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Douglasville, GA.
In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by two brothers; James C. Garmon and Clifford A. McLain as well as a sister: Tyler L. Wolfender.
The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 5:00 o’clock PM until 8:00 o’clock PM. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 o’clock PM at the Church of God of Prophecy, 8310 Duralee Lane Douglasville, GA 30134 with Pastor James Green officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to service time.
