Mr. John “Jack” William Pasley III, age 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was born July 30, 1937 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country for six years as a member of the National Guard. Jack was devoted to God and to his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He genuinely enjoyed church, especially singing in the choir, socializing with his church family and attending Wednesday night services. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville. He was an avid Auburn fan, as well as an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, which made for a fun, family rivalry since his beloved Sally had been a fan of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. A witty man, Jack loved a good joke, and he was a very generous, patient man who was a friend to many. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Jeopardy, fishing, crabbing, watching YouTube, and he loved to read, especially anything from his favorite author, Lewis Lamar.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife of 59 years, Sally Pasley; parents, John W. and Dorothy (Lang) Pasley, Jr.; and sister, Jo Ann Stone.
Those left to cherish his memory are son, Chris Pasley; daughter, Angela Harris and Melanie (Michael) Biggs; three grandchildren, Lauren, Mary and Karsyn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
