John "Danny" Danial Pruitt

John Danial “Danny” Pruitt, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020. He was born May 8, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. Danny loved his children and his grandbabies. He was hard working and had been in the grading and hauling business all of his life, owning his own business. Danny was extremely outgoing, loving and generous. In his spare time, he loved fishing and drinking a cold beer.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Rufus Lee Nicholson and Nora (Ward) Nicholson; his biological parents, Ernest and Geneva Pruitt; and his brother, David Pruitt.

He is survived by his sons, Steven (Rhyann) Pruitt of Douglasville, Georgia, John (Amy) Pruitt of Lithia Springs, Georgia, and Michael Pruitt of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters, Stephanie (Jamie) Freeman of Villa Rica, Georgia, Diana Calhoun and Lisa Bethune; brother, Ronald Pruitt; sister, Dianne Ward; his

grandbabies, Jamie (Jared) Williams, Julie Freeman and Lorna Freeman, all of Villa Rica, Georgia, Sara-Faith Marie, Jaiden and Cameron Cruey, Kyler, Holten and Martina Bethune; nephew, Rickey Ward; and niece, Maria Pruitt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow in the Rosehaven Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
