Johnny Ralph Shell Sr.

Mr. Johnny Ralph Shell, Sr., age 79, of Dallas, GA passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017. He was born February 10, 1938 in Douglasville, GA. Mr. Shell served in the United States Army. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton, GA. He retired from Frank Jackson Lincoln Mercury. He married Helen Anne Collins of Mableton, GA on May 26, 1961. Preceding him in death were his parents, George Lee and Melvie Irene Shell; brothers, George Shell, Preston Shell; sisters, Elva Daniel, Louise Hamby, and Evelyn Croft. Surviving are his wife, Anne Shell; three sons, Johnny Shell, Jr., Russell Shell, and Tim Shell; daughter-in-law, Kellie Shell; grandchildren, Kristen Shell, Rebecca Shell, Jacob Shell, and Sarah Shell; and great-grandson, Levi Ryan Adams. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral services will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, 3721 Bankhead Hwy. Douglasville, GA 30134.
