With profound sorrow and tender love, we announce the passing of our precious baby girl, Journey Janay Ross, also lovingly known to friends and family as “Berry Rose”, who was carried in love for 20 weeks and now rests in the arms of angels. Though her time with us was brief, she touched our hearts deeply and will forever remain a cherished part of our family’s story.
Journey is lovingly held in the hearts of her parents, Jeremy and Jerica Ross, and her big brother, Je’Vion Ross, who awaited her with excitement and endless love.
She is also mourned and lovingly remembered by her maternal grandparents, Linda and John Howard and Ricky Dixon; her uncles, Ricky Dixon, Rickesely Dixon, Rayshun Dixon and John Howard, Jr.; her great-grandparent, Faye Drains; her great-uncle, Alton Ford; and her great-aunts, Jean Ford, Helen Mathis, Joyce Dixon, Detta Harvey, Rhonda Stephens, Latasha Drains, and Tameika Dixon and a host of loving cousins.
Journey is welcomed in heaven by her paternal grandmother, Barbara Ross, and her great-grandparents, Helen Dixon and Harold Drains, who now hold her in eternal peace.
She is also cherished by her godmother, Ronchelle Drains, and her godbrothers, Mason Williams and Elijah Matthews, who all held a special place in their hearts for her.
Though she never took a breath in this world, Journey’s presence brought immeasurable love, hope, and joy. She will forever be our little light—a reminder of the beauty, fragility, and preciousness of life.
May her spirit continue to guide and comfort us until we meet again.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled within the coming days.
Please continue to pray for the Ross Family during this difficult season.
“Some only dream of angels, we held one in our hearts.”
