Kelly Rawlins Robinson, age 45, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Kelly’s boys were her life and she enjoyed watching the sports in which they participated. Kelly was family oriented, and loved celebrating holidays, especially Christmas, and decorating for the occasion. She loved trips to the lake with her family, and even her German shepherds. Her best friend, Jessica, called her the “Cruise Director” because of her excellent planning skills. Kelly loved children and taught 5th grade for 5 years after graduating from college. She then opened a daycare and ran it for 17 years. Kelly had a loving and giving nature to everyone she met. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Kelly was very sentimental and kept everything folks gave her from her childhood until her death. Kelly loved the Lord and enjoyed worshipping with her sons. She loved singing and listening to praise and worship music. Kelly loved being a cheerleader in middle and high school and so was a natural at cheering for her boys at their many sporting events. Kelly loved German Shepherds, cats, and all God's creatures. Kelly was both passionate and compassionate. She always gave her all in everything she did and she did it with love.
Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Herbert and Mary Rogers; and her paternal grandparents, Louis and Marjorie Rawlins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving parents, Louis “Buddy” and Shirley Rawlins; her sons, Andrew Robinson and Brady Robinson; sister, Libby Rawlins; Aunt Linda Urheim; Uncle Charlie and Aunt Candi Rawlins; her beloved German Shepherd, Cooper; and many cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Tom Kaplan officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
