Mrs. Lucille Elizabeth Sprayberry Wilkinson, age 91, of Winston, GA passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014. She was born December 7, 1922 in Shawmut, AL. Mrs. Wilkinson was a homemaker who loved caring for her family and friends, reading, working puzzles and singing gospel music. She was a member of West Metro Church of God.
Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie C. Wilkinson; her parents, Luther and Nancy Burdette Sprayberry; a brother, Lonnie Sprayberry; and two sisters, Lillian Thompson and Clara Allsup.
She is survived by her daughter, Faye E. Gordon and husband Olin; son, Johnnie Wilkinson and wife Vivian; three grandchildren, Leland Burdette, Felicia Hayes, Wendy Smith; five great-grandchildren, Madison Hayes, Xavier Duperville, Katina Burdette, Ethan Smith and Asa Smith; and a brother, Raymond Sprayberry and wife Dianne.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Gary Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
