She was born in Pétion-Ville, Haiti, on June 5, 1946. She was the seventh child of Louise Ricia Moise and Joseph Monclair.
At the age of six, she began Catholic school, marking the start of her lifelong dedication to learning. At thirteen, she continued her studies at Institution Frère Jules, where she completed her primary education. In October 1962, she entered Lycée Pétion-Ville, where she spent three years completing her secondary studies.
Marie Rose later enrolled in Medical Business School, pursuing training as a Medical Secretary. She graduated in 1968 with her diploma in Medical Secretarial Studies. Her passion for helping others led her to continue her education at the nursing school of Madame Anne Marie Trouillot, where she earned her diploma as a Registered Nurse Assistant in the summer of 1970.
In November 1970, Marie Rose immigrated to the United States with her younger brother, Gardy. She began working in New York and in 1972, briefly relocated to Michigan to work as a Nurse’s Aide. Later that year, she returned to New York to continue her career. At the age of 27, Marie also dedicated her life to serving Jehovah as a Witness.
In 1973, she traveled to France to marry her fiancé, Henriot Jean Pierre. In December 1974, she welcomed her first son, Gregory. She later became the devoted mother of two more children, Shawn in December 1978 and Claudia in December 1981.
Continuing her commitment to self-improvement, Marie Rose pursued data entry studies in 1979. After completing her training, she began working at BTSI as a Data Entry Operator. Two years later, she joined Bear Stearns, where she worked faithfully in the Data Tape Library for many years.
Marie would also go on to make her dedication to Jehovah public by getting baptized on November 21st, 1987. Her love for Jehovah and for others pushed her to spend a long career preaching the good news and for that reason she served as a regular Pioneer for over 15 years. She was a loving sister and friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Around 2008, she retired from Bear Stearns. Marie Rose moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2010, to be near her son Gregory. She embraced a quieter life surrounded by family, love, and appreciation for all she had accomplished.
Marie Rose lived a life defined by dignity, resilience, gentleness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her legacy will continue to live on in her children, family and all who were touched by her quiet strength and grace.
