Mrs. Marilyn Jean Simpson, age 93, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born January 8, 1926 in Arkansas. Mrs. Simpson enjoyed knitting, loved to read and sing gospel music. She enjoyed going on mission trips with Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Simpson was a licensed real estate agent and also held a CDL license.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Dan Simpson; sons, Jim Binkley and Daniel E. Simpson; daughters, Pam Dillingham, Cathy Freeman and Chris Lester; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Harland and Erma Johnston; and her brother, Harland Johnston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
