Philip Morris Harbuck

Philip Morris Harbuck, age 85, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. He was born May 10, 1937 in Buena Vista, Georgia. Philip was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A people person, Philip never met a person he would not talk to. He loved bluegrass music and played the guitar. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, flea markets, going to auctions, beekeeping and spending time with family. He also served in the United States Coast Guard in the early years of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Aletha (Wells) Harbuck; and a sister, Vickie Short.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 56 years, Shirley Harbuck; Mike Harbuck (Helena), Than Harbuck (Holly), Isaac Harbuck (Serina), Aaron Harbuck (Kelly) and Andrew Harbuck (Brie); daughter, Aletha Hantando (Johnny); brothers, David Harbuck and Jimmy Harbuck; sisters, Carolyn McKinney and Aretha Short; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Following the service, Philip will be laid to rest at Melrose Hills Memorial Park.
