Raina graduated from George Washington Preparatory High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. Her goal was to be a social worker who would bridge the gap between the needy and underprivileged and the resources they need to progress.
Raina had a number of hobbies, but she most enjoyed making homemade soap and sewing. You could often find her selling her creations at an area craft show. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family while trying her hand at a round of karaoke. She had a beautiful singing voice and could hold her own among the best of vocalists. She especially enjoyed spending time at the beach or fishing on a nearby lake with her husband and brother.
Raina married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Hatchett II, on August 3, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their union brought together a blended family with five beautiful children. She always made time for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, her positive nature and beautiful smile will be dearly missed.
Raina died on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin.
