Rick was born in Bloomington, Indiana on April 19, 1951, the son of the late James Phillip Matthews and the late Margaret Snoke Adams. Rick was a “Jack of All Trades”. Quoting a friend, “Rick was always fixing the little parts that made everything work, with not only the cars and houses, but with little issues that make that made his/our friends “tick.” His knowledge and love of old cars was never ending and he enjoyed going to several car shows throughout the years. He also loved to travel and enjoyed Italy, Cuba and the Panama Canal to name a few. He will be missed by many, his stories will be told for a long time.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James Craig and Becky; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret “Meg” and Mark Hurt; one nephew, five nieces, ten great nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, James and Margaret, his brother, Timothy S. Matthews, precedes Rick in death.
In accordance with Rick’s wishes, he will be cremated.
