Ricky “Rick” Harrell Lewallen, age 69, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on July 18, 1956, son of the late Gene Lewallen and Bernice Harrell Lewallen.
Rick was a happy-go-lucky man, always on the move, who never met a stranger. He had a naturally positive spirit and a big heart for his family, enjoying time with them above all else. Rick was a car enthusiast who loved collecting antiques, especially antique cars, and was a fan of shows like American Pickers and Westerns. He ran his own business, Lewallen’s Sales and Wrecker Service in Lithia Springs, since 1989 and worked closely with both the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia State Patrol. Rick also retired from Austell Box Board after serving the company for 20 years.
Rick loved to travel, whether it was relaxing on the sunny shores of Daytona Beach, Florida, boating, deep sea fishing on the Windwalker II, or taking in the cool mountain views in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He and his wife Terri shared a special love for cruises, having been on 17 together. He was also a big animal lover, enjoyed watching NASCAR, riding motorcycles, and visiting casinos. If Rick ever joked with you, it was his way of showing he liked you.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Terri Lewallen; children: Mandy Kenemore (Kooter), Ricky Scott Lewallen (Amy), Jennifer Malcom (Craig), Blake Fowler (Jessica), and Lexi Lewallen; grandchildren: Travis, Tristen, Taylin, Ayden, Wyatt, Chandler, Brittyn, Piper, Serinity, Zayn and Alex; great-grandchildren: Kinleigh and Riot; brothers: Larry Lewallen (Venetia) and Terry Lewallen (Katrina); sister: Wilda Westbrook. He is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deb Lewallen.
