

He is survived by his son Chris Moore, daughter-in-law Stacy Moore and grandaughter Belle Moore of Cartersville, Georgia, and by his daughter Kerry Moore, son-in-law Rich Moore, and grandson Perry Moore of Arcugnano, Italy, aunt Diane Moore of Gulf Port MS sister-in-law, and many other family and friends. Robert was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 9, 1946 to Harry Turner Moore Sr. and Norma Belle Ware Moore. Robert grew up in Columbus, Georgia and resided in Douglasville for well over 40 years. He worked as a Tool Planner for Lockheed Martin for 30 years before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his older brother, Harry T. Moore, Jr. (Rusty).
Robert spent years as a youth sports coach for his children and their friends and enjoyed long road trips for games. They will forever remember him for his dedication, support, and kindness as a loving father and coach. He will be remembered by all as an easy going, warm-hearted and loving man. Robert was an avid local and national sports fan who kept his family up to date on the latest sports news and events. He loved music, especially Motown, and enjoyed trips with family and friends to the beach or mountains. He was a regular patron at the Golden Corral in Douglasville where he would enjoy talking to friends about sports and sharing stories about family. Robert/DAD will be missed and loved forever.
He will be cremated and the family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local rec club or YMCA or go enjoy a nice meal and have some fun in honor of dad.
