Mr. Ross J. Riley, age 76, of Jacksonville, NC passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born March 9, 1938 in Pryor, OK. After serving for 20 years, Mr. Riley retired from the Marine Corps including service during the Vietnam War. He then joined and retired from the Civil Service with NADEP, formerly NARF, as a jet engine mechanic and test cell operator.
Mr. Riley is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Thelma Jean Riley, as well as infant son Michael J. Riley and infant daughter Tina M. Riley.
Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Mieko Riley of Jacksonville, NC; daughter and son-in-law Michael Allen and Patricia Riley Parham of Bremen, GA; grandchildren Ashley Parham Tipton and husband Joseph T. Tipton, Emily Jane Parham and Jonathan Riley Parham; and great-granddaughter Hayley Tipton.
Interment will be on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2 pm New Bern National Cemetery in New Bern, NC with full military honors.
