Mrs. Ruby Nell McCray Dickinson passed away on May 26, 2025, in Stockbridge, Georgia. She was born July 15, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Edgar McCray and the late Hattie Mae Harris McCray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leclair Roger Dickinson, of Douglasville, Georgia. They were married for 43 years before his passing on February 2, 1997. She has three brothers, Dick McCray, Gene McCray and Billy McCray, and two sisters, Ruth Chapman and Mildred Gilliam, which preceded her in death.
She is the Mother of three children, Rebecca Dickinson Vabulas of Roswell, Georgia (Andy), Steven Roger Dickinson of Philippines (Revilla) and Tamera Dickinson Roberson of McDonough, Georgia (Tony). She has five grandchildren, John Andrew Vabulas, Jr., Sarah Anne Vabulas, Christopher Bryan Whitelaw, George Christopher Roberson (Ashley) and Matthew Leclair Roberson. She has two great grandchildren, Meadow Crist and Nova Roberson. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Whitley Garner at Rosehaven is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements of Mrs. Ruby Nell McCray Dickinson.
