It's been 2 years, Rusty.  Miss you a lot.

Yvonne, Jessica, miss my Brother-in-law being there when I need him .  Probably not as much as y'all but he was always there. Loved him like my brother.

It's been 2 years and I know you Yvonne miss the love of your life and you Jessica miss your father.  I miss my brother-in-law also.  I could always call Rusty and count on him to help me out if I needed him.  He was a sweet, loving, kind person and family member.  I am praying for comfort for you both as you go through this day that he left us two years ago.  Love you both Yvonne and Jessica.

Rusty and I worked together for 16 years. He was not only a great coworker, he was also a man of great character and principles. We have stayed in contact with each other since we met in 1985. Rusty’s interest in firearms peaked my interest. I bought my first gun from Rusty, which I still have today. I will miss you my friend. 

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family! Yvonne, praying for you and the whole family  to be ok!!!  🙏🙏

Rusty, my favorite brother-in-law who was more like a brother.  When I needed you, I knew you would be there for me.  I'll miss you at out family Holiday dinners and I'll miss your wonderful cooking of all the good foods that you brought with you.  Your cranberry sauce was the best!  Thank you for loving my baby sister for 45 years.  There were hard times for you two, but both of you stuck it out and made it through the good times and the bad times.  One of the last things you said to me is you were sorry you wouldn't get to follow through with the dream of moving back to NSB.  You've now moved on to a better place and I look forward to seeing you again.  Love you and will miss you till then my sweet brother-in-law.

Russ has been part of our family since the marriage of Jessie and Sam. We have welcomed his calm  and peaceful spirit at our family gatherings  and will dearly miss his physical presence in the future.  However, I do believe we will always feel his presence with us as we move on with our lives.

I only had the pleasure of meeting your Dad one time (at your wedding) but I saw the love between the two of you.  Treasure all the wonderful memories I know you have.  Those memories will remain in your heart forever and become your most prized possessions.  Know that my love and prayers are with you.

Jessie and Sam, my condolences on the death of your father.  I know he held a special in your heart.  Like the sundial in the garden, count none but the sunny hours.

Russ will be missed by many. I met Russ and Yvonne at PetSmart. They came in often to look at the kitty cats - eventually adopting. Russ and Yvonne always had a smile to share along with caring kind words - always looked in on the kitty cats in the Adoption Center.  Russ will truly be missed. I ask that the Father of mercies look upon our grief and sadness with compassion, kindness, and love.

I met Rusty in 4th or 5th grade at Coronado Elementary and we have been friends ever since. He was always a very kind and likeable person. I feel fortunate to have been able to visit with Rusty and Yvonne at several high school reunions. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Rusty was a dear friend best friend in school we drifted apart but stayed in touch I look forward to seeing you again in the new world. The resurrection will come soon all my prayers and love to the family.

Rusty was the best of the best. Even though we did not see each other much because of the distance, it never felt like we had been apart when we did get together. Yvonne and Jess my heart breaks for you. May you find peace in your life as you go forward.

Rusty we will miss your quiet ways.  You took care of my baby sister for 45 years. I  was so happy you and Yvonne came to spend Thanksgiving with me this past year. Of course memories abound through all of the years.  We have had several important conversations these past months. I will be true to my promise to you.  Love you my brother-in-law

I’ve known Rusty since my oldest friend, Yvonne, married him in 1974.  I was a bridesmaid in their wedding and I can see him now, grinning at us as we walked down the aisle! He was so proud to be marrying Yvonne. 
When Jessie came along he was the perfect example of a patient, loving, supportive dad. Come to think of it, that’s another sweet wedding memory of Rusty - the day Jessie married Sam and his Father/ daughter dance.  There are so many other memories , he was always a kind, steady, dependable guy.  All I can say is, we love you and we’ll miss you Rusty. 

Where to begin!  I have a lifetime of memories.  Two of my favorite are when I went to Universal with Aunt Yvonne, Uncle Rusty, and Jessie.  I think we screamed on the Jaws ride.  We ended the night watching the firework.  Jessie and I were in awe!  Another is more recent.  I met them at a restaurant on Tybee Island.  We sat and talked for several hours.   This is not goodbye but I’ll see you again.  Love you Uncle Rusty!  Love you Aunt Yvonne and Jessie!

We will miss Russ at the beach, the lake, and all our family gatherings.   He was the father of our daughter-in-law first, but soon became a close and dear friend and loved one to us.  We enjoyed so many good times with him!  We will miss  his companionship, his smile and his wonderful cooking.   Russ really enjoyed our grandsons and they both just loved him!   We are so glad we were able to have him in our lives for the past 15 plus years.   

We hope that Yvonne and Jessie will be comforted in knowing he was so loved by so many.
