Mrs. Sandra Kay Huddleston Buttrey, age 60, of Winston, Georgia, formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Sandra, more affectionately known as “Big Mom,” was born to the late Robert “Bob” Allen Huddleston and Florence Etta Wilkerson Huddleson on October 27, 1960 in Carthage, Tennessee. She was one of five children and had an outgoing personality from a young age.
Sandra later met and married the love of her life, Darrell “Big Dad” Thomas Buttrey and became a mother of two. She was a great mother and a devoted wife – she was the kind of person who was patient, kind and unconditionally loving. Family was her central focus in life.
Sandra enjoyed singing, collecting porcelain dolls, riding Harley Davidsons (every other bike is just a scooter anyway) and soaking in the sun. She loved her work and work family that continued to grow over her 30+ year span at Cenveo, formerly National Envelope.
Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Allen Huddleston; father in law, Thomas Buttrey; mother in law, Martha Buttrey; and granddaughter, Gabriella Blakeman.
Her memory will becherished by her mother, Florence Etta Wilkerson Huddleston; husband of 34 years, Darrell “Big Dad” Thomas Buttrey; daughter, Danielle Nichole Blakeman; son in law, Wallace Blakeman; brother, Roger Huddleston; sisters, Kim, Sue and Wanda Huddleston; brother in law, Keith Buttrey; sister in law, Kathy Buttrey; grandchildren, Abagayle Blakeman, Wallace Blakeman Jr., Noel Seiber and George Contreras; niece, Vivian Miller; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.
