Terry Wayne King age 79, of Powder Springs, passed away on February 24. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially treasure hunting at yard sales. For six years, Terry looked forward to spending the first weekend in August exploring the World’s Longest Yard Sale, traveling as far as Kentucky, though he most often made his favorite stop in Cookeville, Tennessee. Closer to home, he could often be found visiting local yard sales throughout the New Georgia, North Paulding, and Allatoona areas, always on the lookout for a good find and good conversation. He also cherished time spent boating on Lake Allatoona, where he enjoyed the peace of the water and the beauty of the outdoors. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra Fuller King; daughters, Wendi Loggins, Ginger Keown and Sandy Marie Hutchison; sister, Judy Lindsey; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, Terry’s body will be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service. Whitley Garner at Rosehaven is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements of Terry Wayne King
