Tim was born in Beaufort, South Carolina. His early years in a military family were shaped by regular attendance in Bible-believing churches. Those years included travel and transition, with the family eventually moving to Joliet, Illinois. He was involved in the AWANA club and the Christian Youth Center. Tim began his high school years there, but during that time, his family moved back to Beaufort, where he completed high school and graduated.
Tim’s early career included time as a crew member on a shrimp boat—work that reflected his love of the outdoors and strong work ethic. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at a Bible college.
For the past many years, Tim called the Atlanta area home. Tim dearly loved his two Jack Russell terriers, Gus and Lotto, who were his constant companions. Tim rode a customized Harley Davidson motorcycle, and turned a 1955 Chevy into a hotrod that he named “Double Nickels.” He spent many a day on the golf course and many mornings in a deer stand or fishing with his dad.
Tim worked for several years as a car and insurance salesman before following his entrepreneurial spirit to establish a very successful business, All-Pro Pressure Clean. For more than 30 years, he proudly operated this business, servicing shopping centers, residences, malls, and other businesses across the metro area.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold and Julia Huey.
Survivors include three siblings: Becky Sochovka (TJ) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sue Ward (Phil) of Savannah, GA; and Clay Huey (Sue) of Douglasville, GA. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Tim was a devoted and proud Paw-Paw to his three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who all brought immense joy to his life.
Tim will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous living, and as has been said many times by friends and customers, “A good guy who did good work”.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 PM on May 31, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church of West Cobb, 5415 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127. There will be an open mic with an opportunity to share short testimonials of personal memories to honor the life and memory of Tim Huey.
