

Vickie Jo Hart, age 75, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on February 4, 2026. She was born on December 1, 1950, in Douglasville, Georgia, to the late Mr. Victor W. Cantrell and Thelma E. Seymour Cantrell.
Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by love, faith, and dedication to family. She enjoyed a successful and fulfilling 25-year career in banking as a Financial Specialist with Wells Fargo, where she was known for her intelligence, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
Above all, Vickie cherished her family. She loved raising her children and always made time for them, no matter how busy life became. Her home was her sanctuary—a place filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She delighted in cooking and gathering family together for a good meal, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Vickie also enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending quiet evenings by the fire, and dearly loved her poodle.
A woman of strong faith, Vickie grew up in the Baptist church and lived a faithful life rooted in her beliefs. She was deeply loved by her community, family, and friends, and her kindness and gentle spirit touched many lives.
She is survived by her children: Susan (Curt) Johnson, Tanya Hart, Julia (Shane Hamblin) Chism, and Debbie Hart, Alex Hart; her siblings: Ricky Cantrell, Jerry Cantrell, and James Cantrell; and her grandchildren: Dean, Sydney, Ashley, Kristin, Katie, Matthew, Jared, Taylor, and Trevor.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 46 years, Jimmy A. Hart; her grandchildren, Allen Hester and Wesley Jordan; and her siblings, Linda Bennett, Steve Cantrell, and Scotty Cantrell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Whitley-Garner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Whitley-Garner Funeral Home, with Ricky Cantrell officiating.
Vickie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bright Star Cemetery in Douglasville, Georgia.
Vickie Jo Hart will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
