

Mr. William Watson Collier Jr., age 93, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2020. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. Collier, Sr. and Lilly Mae Collier. Mr. Collier worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years before retiring. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the WWII era. He loved ice cream and watching any and all things sports. He was also a very active man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing golf, and pitching for a softball team. Mr. Collier was a private man that was content in his own company. His parents went through the Great Depression and instilled in him the difference between wants and needs. He attended Sunset Hills Baptist church and was a devout man of faith.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Julia Margaret Blackstock Collier and his sister, Evelyn Collier Carter.
Survivors include his children, Bruce D. (Judy) Collier, Jack B. (Reggie) Collier, Mark W. Collier, Robin C. (Tracy A.) Oxford, and their mother, Martha Irene Berry Reeve; step-children, Charles Edward (Bobbi) Camp, Thomas Paul (Brenda) Camp, and Julia Ann (Henry) Hensley; nephew, Kelly Carter; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and numerous other loved ones, extended family, and friends.
