REGINA MAY WHEELER, 78, of Downey, California, died at 9:00 am on January 2, 2011 at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. Regina was born on August 12, 1932 in Colton, CA to Mr. Vivian Leonard and his wife Lucille May. She graduated from Whittier College in 1953 and served LA Unified School District for 30 years as an elementary school teacher. She enjoyed fine jewelry and reading mystery novels, eating sweets, football, and summering at Shaver Lake. She was married to her loving husband, Edward Richard (Dick) Wheeler for 57 years, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband and two children, Jeff Wheeler and Cindy Breland, her sister Jean Brady and her five grandchildren.
