

Betty A. Doverspike, 87 of DuBois, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at UMPC Shady Side, Pittsburgh. She was the loving wife of 66 years to Elton G. Doverspike, DuBois having been married on April 20, 1946.
Betty was born April 1, 1925 in West Liberty, DuBois to the late Albert Cleveland and Viola E. (Conrad) Heberling.
Mrs. Doverspike was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, DuBois. She was employed as a sales clerk for the former Newberry Five and Ten and the Country Garden Market in DuBois. Betty was a volunteer for the DuBois Senior Community Center, Bowled for the Friendship League and was the secretary/bookkeeper for Fairview Cemetery. She was a resident of DuBois for her entire life.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Thomas Elton Doverspike and his wife Karman of DuBois; Three grandsons: Tim Doverspike and his wife Tina of Latrobe; Andrew Doverspike and his wife Jess of Virginia Beach, VA; Dalton Doverspike, DuBois; also one great granddaughter, Melissa and an "honorary son", Larry Rogers of Staten Island, NY.
Betty was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents mentioned and four brothers: Lewis, Floyd, Merle and Blain Heberling.
A Celebration of Life for Betty A. Doverspike will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, 142 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 with Rev. Dr. Debra Rogosky and Pastor Lance Tucker co-officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 PM and Monday 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, DuBois.
