

Born on October 24, 1922 in Hazen, PA, the daughter of the late James Martin Perrin and Agnes Corella(Jones) Perrin. She was married to Earl M. (Pete) Lyons on August 7, 1942.
She was a member of the Kirkman Independent Baptist Church.
She attended the Raught one room school for two terms and completed grade school at Warsaw Consolidated School. She graduated from Brookville High School in 1939.
She worked at Sylvania in Brookville, on their dairy farm, at the Brookville Hospital snack bar and sold Tupperware. She was a 4-H leader for several years.
Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, bird feeding. She entered Unilec cooking contests and won prizes. She was an excellent cook, baker, canner and seamstress.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl (Pete)Lyons, four children: Suzanne(Alan) Whelpley of Elizabethtown, William (Carol) Lyons of Hazen, Jerry(Fran) Lyons of Port Allegany and Kathy Lyons of Brookville. Also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son Charles Martin Lyons, her siblings: Haven, Ardale and Velva, and a great grandson Jack Thomas Whelpley. She was the last surviving member of her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday June 16, 2012 at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., in DuBois. With Rev Warren Harris officiating. Interment will be in Temple Cemetery, in Hazen.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday June 15, 2012 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Saturday from 10am until the hour of service at the funeral home.
