Iva Mae Smith

She was born April 7, 1934 in Duke Center, PA; daughter of the late Golvin Davis Regis and Laura Belle (Gridley) Regis.

Mrs. Smith was primarily a homemaker, an also held several secretarial positions throughout her life. She enjoyed bird watching, writing letters and sharing words of encouragement to others, reading the bible, sharing and listening to bible teachings, traveling abroad, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of First Baptist church while living in DuBois.

Survivors include, husband, Vernon T. Smith, Jr., whom she married June 14, 1958 in Bradford; daughter, Laura Klase, and husband, Jonathan of New Holland, PA; sons, Vernon T. Smith III and wife, Laura of Emigrant, MT, and Mark Smith of Orlando, FL; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edith Scott.

Funeral services will be held at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:00am with Mr. Gunther Von Harringa officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm, and on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 9:00am until the hour of service.

Interment will be at Morningside Cemetery.
