Jane A Koontz

She was born in Kittanning on September 22, 1918, a daughter of the late William G. and Roseanne (Greene) Atkins.

Mrs. Koontz was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She was avid bridge player and enjoyed golf and spending time with her family.

Mrs.Koontz is survived by a daughter: Linda K. Brubaker and her husband, Donald of DuBois; three grandchildren: Dawn G. Hopkins and her husband, Edward of Medina, OH, Brian D. Brubaker and his wife, Lynn of Cranberry Twp. and Craig F. Brubaker and his wife, Amy of Brighton, MI; and five great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis B. Koontz, whom she married August 16, 1939 and passed away on August 27, 1994 and two brothers, William G and John M. Atkins.

Friends will be received from 10:00am to noon on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, DuBois.

A funeral service will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Sarah Ott officiating. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.
