Mildred M. Shaffer

Born on December 23, 1926 in DuBois the daughter of the late John and Melva (Lockyer) Hand. On February 15, 1950 she married Clair Shaffer, who passed away on August 10, 2004

.

Mildred enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three sons: Ronald Shaffer of Rockton, Russell Shaffer of DuBois and Gordon Shaffer of DuBois; two sisters: Mickey Hollopeter of DuBois, Dorothy Place of Renyoldsville and a brother John Hand Jr. of Kersey, PA; also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Shaffer was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Judith Mooney, two sisters: Betty Sliviak, June Stitt and a brother James Hand.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Nagle officiating.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 18 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
