

Robert “Nick” Warnick, Sr., 70 of DuBois, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home. He was the husband of 33 years to Connie (Salada) Warnick, DuBois whom he married on October 2, 1980.
Born June 16, 1943 in LaPlata, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Arnold and Gertrude Virginia (Byerly) Warnick.
Robert was employed as a truck driver for the former Preston and J. Miller Express for 10 years, after which he owned and operated his trucks for a couple of years until 1986. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Nick enjoyed word search puzzles and coloring books and most of all spending time with his family telling stories of his days as a truck driver.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons and 3 daughters: Gayle Hammonds, Port Richey, FL; Tracy Cherry and her husband David, Evans City, PA; Larry Warnick and his wife Linda, Reynoldsville; Robert Warnick, Jr., Gulf Port, MS; Rodney Warnick and wife Kelly, Kersey; Robin Adamson and her husband Butch, DuBois; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; also 3 sisters: Carol Williamson, Mt. Vernon, OH; Sandra Fetterman and husband Ronald, Ringtown, PA; Ginny Lee Rhoads and husband Richard, Tyrone, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Larry, Howard “Pete”, and Gary Warnick; Sue Fairchild and LeAnna Jo Park.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert “Nick” Warnick will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 3, 2013 at Mt Zion Methodist Church, 16 Denton Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 with Pastor Kelley Schanely officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, DuBois.
